Widening a driveway and making it work

Another referral on Beaulieu Park in Chelmsford — our client had seen what we achieved further down the road, widening a driveway considerably to create a two-car entrance where previously only a single car could use the driveway. They could see immediately the value this added to the property on such a densely populated estate.

The customer also wanted matching lights either side of the gate and had been told by others that this was not possible due to the gate location. At Charged Services, we make the impossible possible.

The Challenge

Hidden levels and full groundworks

On our initial inspection, the ground levels were not immediately obvious. When we removed the wall to achieve the maximum width, we discovered a sharp ramp in levels on either side of the old wall. This meant most of the driveway had to be lifted in order to correct the levels and allow the gates to open fully.

At Charged Services we are fully equipped to deal with all scenarios. On this occasion we made good the driveway and completed the whole installation with only two people — delivering another striking aluminium gate in Chelmsford.
