Solving a challenging driveway
Our client came to us after a poor experience with another electric gate company. The gates at their other property, recently installed elsewhere, had repeated problems and design issues that would cause lifelong reliability problems.
When we visited the site we immediately understood the requirements. The driveway slope was steep in multiple directions, but the customer wanted a level parking area with a sweeping drive up to it — leaving a non-flat surface that required the cantilever to be mounted as close to the ground as possible on one side to reduce the overall height above ground level when closed.
Our plan was to excavate the existing levels, remove the current stepped wall and create a level receiving area for the cantilever to slide into. The end result is a beautiful aluminium sliding gate, and working with our local Control4 partner we integrated the whole system into the customer's smart home for flawless execution.
