Commercial CCTV upgrade across a Grade II listed building in Silvertown, East London. Legacy analogue system replaced with modern IP cameras, PTZ coverage and wireless network expansion.
Brick Lane Music Hall, Silvertown, East London — a Grade II listed former church now operating as an entertainment venue, fitted with a full IP CCTV system by Charged Services.
Brick Lane Music Hall had a legacy analogue CCTV system that was no longer fit for purpose. Charged Services took on the challenge of replacing it with a new IP-based system throughout the Grade II listed building.
New ethernet runs were pulled through the limited spaces available to get camera connections back to the main comms room. The building's listed status meant careful planning was needed to route cabling without causing damage to the historic fabric of the structure.

Being located in an old church, the site required access equipment to replace the cameras on the church spire. Charged Services are IPAF certified and can arrange and operate any access equipment required to install and service those hard-to-reach spots.
These high-level PTZ cameras gave full coverage to the front of the building whilst reducing the total number of cameras needed. The result is fewer cameras delivering better coverage — a more efficient and cost-effective system for the venue.

Additional cabling and networking was installed in new areas of the site, bringing CCTV to previously unmonitored sections. Alongside the cameras, new wireless access points were deployed to provide internet access to performers' trailers and guests.
This has allowed the site to expand and deploy new semi-permanent offices for staff to work from whilst being able to see the whole site. The combined CCTV and networking infrastructure gives the venue the flexibility to grow without needing further major installations.
